Here are a few questions to ask yourself before you begin submitting your activity intentions. Only when you can carefully answer each piece should you move on to submitting your activity intentions online. If you have any questions, be sure to reach out to the aDL Austin office at 512-249-7960.
- How does this activity directly relate to bias, prejudice, stereotypes and discrimination? Could you plot on the first two levels of the Pyramid of Hate what concept the activity is challenging?
- How did your student coalition select each activity? How will they conduct the activity as students? If all of the students in your coalition are below 2nd grade, how will adults guide the activities to capitalize on the student voices?
- What skills or tools will this activity offer students and educators at your school?
- Beyond discussions, how will the student actively engage with the activity idea? What will the action points be?
- How will all of the students on your campus have the chance to engage with the activity?
- Does this activity encourage students to be allies or confronters in moments of bias or hate?
- How does this activity directly relate to campus issues? How does it improve your campus directly?
- If you had to leave school today, would No Place for Hate ® be able to run without you? Have you created a support system for yourself?
